Ukraine might enter a "peace track" with Russia by the end of this winter, no later than February 2026.
As reported by Hvylya, this was stated by energy expert Viktor Kurtev during a broadcast on Yuriy Romanenko's YouTube channel.
In his opinion, the recent corruption scandal in the energy sector, which he calls "Mindichgate", is not just an internal affair but part of an external plan to compel Ukraine toward peace. Kurtev believes that this scandal is a tool used by Western partners to exert pressure on President Zelensky.
The expert is convinced that both sides have exhausted the resources for continuing active combat operations, and the current situation is part of a larger geopolitical design.
"I think the plan that has begun is part of the peace plan," Kurtev declared.
Responding to Yuriy Romanenko's question about the specific timeline for when Ukraine might enter the peace negotiation process, the expert gave a clear forecast. According to him, it could happen even by Christmas, but he sees the end of winter as the ultimate deadline.
"I think it will be no later than February," he stressed.
Kurtev added that the main challenge for Ukraine right now is endurance and resilience during this pivotal moment.
"The main thing is to endure. To grit our teeth and endure," the expert summarized.
Thus, in his view, the current winter will be the final season of the active phase of the conflict, after which Ukraine and Russia will transition to a process of peaceful settlement.
It should be noted that on November 10, the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) announced the exposure of a criminal organization whose primary activity was the "systematic receipt of undue profit from Energoatom contractors, amounting to 10% to 15% of the contract value." NABU claims that the funds were legalized through a back office in the center of Kyiv, through which approximately $100 million passed.
