The scandal surrounding businessman Tymur Mindych represents a clash between two corrupt groups in Ukrainian energy sector: "national corruptioners" from the president's circle and "transnational corruptioners" connected to Western donors and NABU. Both sides act against Ukraine's interests, just using different methods, while the main victim is the Ukrainian people.
This was stated by energy specialist Viktor Kurtiev in an interview on Yuriy Romanenko's YouTube channel.
According to Kurtiev, who spent four years documenting violations at Energoatom and submitting materials to NABU, the operation against Mindych is "a colossal blow personally to Zelensky." The expert believes NABU is acting on orders from the "Washington regional committee" and strongly resisted launching the operation.
"According to my information, the Washington regional committee team is attacking. And NABU very strongly resisted this. Many people were allowed to leave, simply flee the country, who are figures in this case. This was done deliberately because the entire evidence base is raw," Kurtiev claims.
The expert sharply criticized the "anti-corruption infrastructure" created with Western donor money. According to his data, of the $37 billion in USAID assistance for Ukraine, only $947 million physically crossed Ukrainian territory – the rest was "siphoned off before entering Ukraine."
"There exists systematic transnational corruption friendly to the US Democratic Party. Only the Ukrainian part concerns us – in Ukraine's name and for Ukraine," Kurtiev stated.
The expert was especially harsh on former Ukrenergo head Volodymyr Kudrytskyi, refuting his claims about occupied solar stations. Kurtiev provided documentary proof that the system operator saw all flows from occupied territories in real-time back in 2022.
"What Kudrytskyi said in the interview with Yanina Sokolova from beginning to end is complete, absolute lies. This is not an episode about Shurma's stations, this is primarily Ukrenergo's episode," the specialist emphasized.
Kurtiev warned that new revelations are ahead concerning military procurement and Defense Minister Umerov. He predicts that within the next two weeks a "final fork in the road" will arrive, after which either the situation will begin to subside or the country will descend into internal civil conflict.
