A unit of the Unmanned Systems Forces (USF) has delivered a massive strike on Russian special forces positions in the temporarily occupied Donetsk region.
The operation was announced by USF commander Magyar.
According to Magyar, on the night of December 26, the "Birds" of the USF's 1st Separate Center conducted a planned reconnaissance and strike operation targeting a command post and deployment sites of Russia's 14th GRU Spetsnaz Brigade in the settlement of Berdyanske.
Confirmed intelligence reports indicate that over 120 special forces personnel were killed or wounded: 51 dead and 74 injured. Magyar classified some of the personnel as "missing in action."
The Russian GRU's 14th Separate Brigade is a special operations unit based in Ussuriysk, tasked with reconnaissance and special missions.
Furthermore, that same night, the unit targeted a series of military sites in temporarily occupied Crimea, striking:
- A Valday radar station in Chornomorske;
- A command post for a radar reconnaissance complex in Chornomorske;
- A storage and launch base for uncrewed surface vessels (USVs) in Chornomorske.
According to the USF's daily report for December 27, the group's pilots eliminated or engaged 384 Russian soldiers and 1,016 unique enemy targets. In December alone, the total number of Russian personnel targeted reached 10,429.
