Kyiv will introduce temporary power outage schedules starting at midnight on January 29. Despite a critical power deficit and complex grid conditions, utility crews have managed to find a technical solution allowing for a return to predictable restrictions.

DTEK Kyiv Grids announced that the new schedules will differ significantly from previous versions. Coverage will vary across the capital's districts due to the specific nature of infrastructure damage. Crucially, the timetables are no longer tied to the usual groups (such as 1.1 or 2.1) but are now generated individually for each building.

YASNO CEO Sergey Kovalenko emphasized that previous data is no longer relevant.

"These look nothing like the stabilization schedules we are accustomed to, but they will allow people to plan their time at least a little," he noted.

Kovalenko urged residents to check the updated information on the YASNO or DTEK Kyiv Grids websites. Users must enter their specific address, as the previous group divisions are no longer in effect.

Energy officials warn that the situation remains extremely volatile. With colder weather forecast and the persisting risk of new Russian attacks, the capital may be forced to revert to emergency shutdowns if grid conditions deteriorate. However, if the system stabilizes, a return to familiar, clearer schedules remains possible.

"Switching to schedules doesn't mean everything has been repaired. It is rather the only possible solution to help plan daily routines. Any schedule is better than uncertainty," the YASNO chief concluded.

Errors and inaccuracies are possible during the first days of the new system as schedules are refined in real time. Delays in displaying information may also occur due to high traffic on the online services.
