President Volodymyr Zelensky has announced the return of Ukraine's negotiation team to Kyiv and revealed plans for a special meeting to determine the next steps in the diplomatic arena.
As reported by "Hvylya", the President made the statement during his evening address on February 19, 2026, marking the 1,457th day of the war.
The Head of State noted that a detailed debriefing with the delegation members will take place tomorrow, focusing on nuances that could not be discussed remotely.
"A report will be presented here in Kyiv regarding aspects of the negotiations that should not be discussed over the phone. We will also define the future framework for conversations with our partners—the American side, the Europeans, and the Russian side," Zelensky emphasized.
The President specifically highlighted the importance of European participation in the consultations held in Switzerland, noting that Ukraine counts on the continued inclusion of European positions.
Beyond the diplomatic front, Zelensky noted the extensive work of law enforcement within the country. Interior Minister Ihor Klymenko reported on one of the largest operations against organized crime to date, with over 500 searches conducted and nearly 100 individuals detained.
"We liquidated 34 narco-laboratories and 70 warehouses. It was a strong operation, and I am grateful to the National Police of Ukraine, as well as all our institutions and services that assisted," the President stated.
The Head of State also announced the creation of a new coordination center led by First Deputy Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko. The body will focus on scaling successful community strategies for surviving the winter and restoring infrastructure. Regional leaders, including Ivan Fedorov, head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration, will be involved in the effort.
Zelensky expressed gratitude to the warriors of the National Guard's "Omega" Special Purpose Center for their actions in the Pokrovsk direction. He also commended police officers in Kyiv, Kharkiv, Chernihiv, Konotop, Zaporizhzhia, Dnipro, Kryvyi Rih, Kramatorsk, Kostiantynivka, the Mykolaiv region, and Odesa for rescuing people following Russian strikes.
