Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has signed new sanctions against individuals and entities assisting Russia in evading restrictions and manufacturing weapons. The move comes in response to a massive overnight attack that saw the enemy launch over 400 drones and nearly 40 missiles.

The head of state announced the measures in a social media address.

The restrictive measures target foreign companies supplying critical components to Russia's military-industrial complex. Zelensky emphasized that without these parts, the production of missiles and drones would be impossible.

A separate decree imposes sanctions on Russia's financial sector. The restrictions apply to entities processing payments for components, as well as companies servicing the Russian crypto market and mining operations.

"Producing these weapons would be impossible without the critical foreign components the Russians continue to obtain by circumventing sanctions. We are introducing new sanctions specifically against such companies—component suppliers and manufacturers of missiles and drones," the President said.

Ukraine is also synchronizing its actions with international partners. According to Zelensky, some of the restrictions will be included in the European Union's upcoming sanctions package.

"Part of these decisions will be incorporated into the European Union's 20th sanctions package, which is currently in the final stages," the head of state concluded.
