On the night of February 2, 2026, Ukrainian defenders carried out a series of effective strikes against Russian rear positions. Strategically vital enemy facilities in the temporarily occupied territories of the Donetsk and Zaporizhzhia regions came under fire.
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that the primary target was enemy infrastructure near Kurakhivka in the Donetsk region. There, the Defense Forces hit two command posts simultaneously at the regimental and divisional levels. Additionally, a hit on an ammunition depot supplying Russian units in this sector was confirmed.
Ukrainian forces also continue to "blind" the enemy. In the Zaporizhzhia region, specifically near Uspenivka and Hulyaypole, drone command centers were destroyed. This is expected to significantly hinder the occupiers' aerial reconnaissance capabilities.
"The Defense Forces are systematically undermining the offensive potential of the Russian occupiers to halt the Russian Federation's armed aggression against Ukraine," the military command stated.
Intelligence is currently clarifying the extent of enemy personnel and equipment losses following the overnight strikes.
