German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius has issued a stark warning regarding the critical importance of continued Western support for Kyiv, cautioning that a cessation of aid would lead to Ukraine's immediate collapse.

Speaking in an interview with Kameramann Bayern, the head of Germany's defense ministry employed rhetoric uncharacteristic of traditional diplomacy to emphasize the need for proactive action over passive observation of threats.

"I will not quote Willy Brandt, Kurt Schumacher, or Helmut Schmidt here, but rather Martin Luther: 'You can't pass a joyful fart with a sad ass.' Endlessly complaining about how terrible the enemies of democracy are helps us in no way. No, everything depends on the passion with which we are ready to defend this democracy," Pistorius emphasized.

The minister reminded Germans that the military threat has returned to Europe, with hostilities taking place just "two hours" from Berlin. According to Pistorius, Vladimir Putin has repeatedly made it clear that his ambitions are not limited to Ukrainian territory, making it mandatory for Germany to procure weapons and defense materials.

Pistorius outlined two critical consequences of withdrawing support for the ally.

"First, Ukraine would be dead tomorrow; and second, it would cost us significantly more than the support we are providing now. That is why it is so vital that we, as Germany, make it clear within NATO that we stand with Ukraine, even if it costs a lot of money," he concluded.
