Russian dictator Vladimir Putin threatened to continue the capture of Ukraine and accelerate the pace of the offensive.
As reported by "Khvylia," he stated this during a speech at a meeting of the Russian Ministry of Defense board.
Putin emphasized that Russia will not abandon its goals regarding Ukraine and will allegedly achieve them through diplomatic or military means.
"The goals will certainly be achieved. We would prefer to eliminate the root causes of the conflict through diplomacy. However, if the opposing side and their foreign patrons refuse to talk substance, Russia will achieve the liberation of its historical lands by military means," he said.
Putin also announced the possibility of accelerating the offensive in key directions.
"The occupied positions, bridgeheads created in recent months, and, of course, the unique tactical and operational experience gained in battles breaking through the enemy's deep defense allow us to increase the pace of the offensive in strategically important directions," the Russian dictator noted.
Putin reported that the "Oreshnik" missile system will be put on combat duty by the end of the year, and the Russian Armed Forces will continue to create and expand a security buffer zone. At the same time, he once again exaggerated the successes of the Russian army.
"Russian military forces are successfully destroying, including elite units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, including units trained in the West. In 2025, more than 300 settlements were liberated, including major cities. The Russian Armed Forces have gained strategic initiative in the 'SMO' zone and firmly hold the front line."
Putin also rejected accusations that Russia threatens Europe: "The geopolitical situation remains tense, and in some regions critical. NATO countries are building up offensive forces, deploying new types of weapons, including space-based ones. In Europe, people are being instilled with fear of an inevitable war with Russia. Responsible figures seem to have forgotten about their responsibility and are guided by personal or group interests, raising the degree of hysteria. This is a lie, nonsense about an imaginary Russian threat."
According to him, European states allegedly act consciously, and some are trying to "profit from Russia's collapse."
"'European piglets' have joined the work of the Biden administration, allegedly hoping to profit from Russia's collapse. They wanted to regain what was lost in previous historical periods and try to take revenge," the dictator said.
Nevertheless, after demonstrating the capabilities of "Oreshnik" and praising the army, Putin softened his rhetoric, declaring readiness to resolve problems peacefully.
"The US administration is demonstrating such readiness. We hope that Europe will do the same," he stated.
